Halfeys was built on a simple idea: the things sitting unused in your home shouldn't end up in a landfill — they should go where they're actually needed. Halfeys Charity takes that a step further. Instead of keeping the payout from an item you sell, you'll be able to direct it straight to a charity of your choice.

It's a way to declutter, reduce waste, and give back — all in one simple action.

How It Will Work

• List an item like you normally would. Your item is priced the same way every Halfeys listing is — 50% of its current lowest retail price.

• Choose to donate instead of collecting your payout. When your item sells, you'll be able to direct that payout to a verified charity of your choice, rather than keeping it yourself.

• Donations are processed through a trusted, independent giving platform — not directly by Halfeys. This means every organization you can choose from has already been verified as a legitimate, tax-exempt charity, and every donation is tracked and confirmed by that platform, not just by us.

This means someone decluttering their home and someone in need of support can both come out ahead from a single transaction — one person's “I don't need this anymore” becomes real support for a cause they care about.

How Verification Works

Halfeys Charity doesn't verify charities on its own. Instead, we route every donation through an established, independent charitable giving platform that specializes in exactly this — confirming an organization's nonprofit status, processing the funds, and handling the donor's tax receipt.

That means:

• Every charity available through Halfeys Charity is already verified by our giving-platform partner before it ever appears as an option.
• Your donation is confirmed by that platform, not just by Halfeys — giving you an independent record that your gift was actually received and passed along.
• Sellers receive their own donation receipt directly from the giving platform, since they're the donor of record for tax purposes.

For Charities: Get Verified and Get Listed

We're building a list of trusted, verified charities that Halfeys sellers can choose to support directly. If you represent a charitable organization and want to be part of this:

• We're inviting charities to apply to be included on the Halfeys Charity list.
• Eligible charities will need an active, verified profile with our giving-platform partner — this is what confirms your organization's legitimacy to sellers and buyers alike.
• Being listed means your cause becomes a visible, easy option for anyone using Halfeys who wants their sale to make a difference.

We're working through the details of our giving-platform integration, payout routing, and the charity application process to make sure this is done right from the start: transparent, trustworthy, and genuinely helpful on both sides.
